About Keith W. Pillich
Throughout his career as an industrial hygienist, Keith W. Pillich has
continued to develop his knowledge through on-the-job training and classroom
instruction. Beginning at the University of Oklahoma, Keith W. Pillich completed
a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science while participating in the
institution’s Safety Professionals program. After dedicating his focus to
industrial hygiene and occupational safety for two decades, Keith W. Pillich
returned to higher education as a student at the University at Buffalo, part of
The State University of New York, completing certificates in Toxicology, HAZMAT
(Hazardous Materials), and HAZCOM (Hazard Communication Standard).
Keith W. Pillich also completed Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA) training in Industrial Hygiene and Safety at the Rochester Institute of
Technology. Keith W. Pillich most recently earned a Master of Science in
Occupational Health and Safety from Columbia Southern University. The program at
Columbia Southern provided Pillich with the valuable opportunity to focus on
important areas of his profession including industrial hygiene and safety and
environmental management.
Keith W. Pillich is currently working as a Contract Safety Consultant with
Vlado Engineering in Amherst, New York. Keith W. Pillich fulfills a wide variety
of responsibilities with the company, operating as a Safety Engineer, Industrial
Hygienist, and Inspector. As a contracting company, Vlado Engineering creates
relationships with organizations all over the world in order to ensure that
their workforce is protected by maintaining the most innovative standards in
safety, quality control, and construction.
Keith W. Pillich contracted with the United States Army from 2009 to 2010,
helping the military with many important safety issues including control of
asbestos, lead, and mold. Pillich also assisted the Army with radiation
protection, noise reduction, and necessary inspections to ensure adherence to
strict industry standards. As a result of his performance, Keith W. Pillich
earned the Distinguished Service Medal, an award for civilians who demonstrate
an exceptional level of service. Keith W. Pillich maintains membership with the
American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists and is accredited by
the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
